Welcome to Cleen Sheat!

Cleen Sheat, where my two worlds collide: music and soccer. The name itself speaks to that collision. It’s a misspelled "clean sheet." A shoutout to the ultimate reward in goalkeeping, protecting your goals from the dangers of the universe. But it’s also a blank page. A space to create without limits. This is where I fill the space with sound, protect your peace, and build things that feel like both.

My Journey

Music

Young Me playing guitar

My music journey began when I was 8 years old. My uncle bought me my first guitar as a reward for getting good grades, and I’ve been learning and playing ever since. I went to a jazz school for a couple of years to study guitar, played in the church band, took weekly one-on-one lessons, and learned through guitar books and YouTube videos.

My fascination with music always led to an internal conflict within myself. I love listening to music, but I’d often get tired of just learning other people’s songs. So, at 15, I downloaded FL Studio on my laptop and started making beats, instrumentals, covers—you name it. Then in 2020, during COVID, I had so much free time that I really leveled up my production game. All in all, shoutout to YouTube and indie musicians for being my biggest teachers. I love making music. I don’t love performing as much, but I’ve performed many, many times, and as my confidence grew, my performance quality did too.

Soccer

Me during warmups

My soccer journey started the moment I was born. You know how they say babies kick in the womb? Well, I remember kicking my mom for the first time. I was born for this. I’ve loved soccer for as long as I can remember—countless days supporting Arsenal FC and watching games with my dad. I’ve played organized soccer since I was 9 years old. I’ve been the star player, the captain, the benchwarmer, the youngster, the new kid—all of the above. And I love soccer so much. Nothing matches the feeling of playing, or even just kicking about with the homies.

My favorite thing? Being a goalkeeper. I love throwing my body around and making crazy saves. In high school, I lacked confidence as a keeper and that affected my playing. But once I gained that confidence, you could say I turned into a bit of an asshole on the field—in the best way. My high school coach gave nicknames to all the goalkeepers, and mine was “the crazy one” because you never quite knew what I’d do. I love talking shit on the field and getting in the striker’s head, but I’m also the first to give someone props when they do something great. I love organizing my defense and even contributing to the attack from the back.

I also love watching the game. I cried at the Emirates Stadium in 2021 because my dream came true. And I’ll stay up till 4AM—or wake up at 4—for soccer. That’s real love.
